Fated to Love You (Review – Taiwanese / Asian Drama)

A really unfashionable working class girl Chen Xin Yi has the desire to tie down her handsome boyfriend to be with her. Due to certain reasons, her boyfriend gets her to go on a love cruise and she started to ponder on how to lose her virginity and tie down her boyfriend. Xin Yi ended up taking cold medicine which made her drowsy and went into Ji Cun Xi’s room. Cun Xi is the sole male heir to his family’s company and has been in love with his girlfriend, Anna, for a long time. He planned to propose to Anna on the boat but she didn’t turn up on the cruise. An island owner added drugs into Cun Xi’s drink and Cun Xi became disorientated and returned to his own room. Xin Yi and Cun Xi end up having a one night stand. Xin Yi later finds out that she’s pregnant and Cun Xi’s grandmother forces them to get married. Will a couple forced to marry for the sake of their unborn child find love with each other?
H4GZ Take: This is probably the best Taiwanese drama I’ve watched so far. The lead girl isn’t super hot but as with other shows she has her acting charm and overall cuteness. This show is getting amazingly high TV ratings in Taiwan, but I’m not surprised as it has a good mix of comedy, romance and drama. This series is still currently airing and if you don’t understand Mandarin then you can watch online versions of it. Random Fansubs is a group that is subbing the series in English or if you want to watch it even faster then you can watch it streaming online as well. Check the links below for both.

2This a superb drama – the best I watched this year.Though the atoryline look simple, there are a lot of surprises and interesting plots which glued me to finish watching it within 4 days.
1. All the casts acted very well including ‘family members’ of lead actress and actors, roles of doctors, lawyer, although they may sound a bit exaggerating but they are very cute and funny.
A nostagic warm hearted story for everyone. not just for the romance like many other Taiwanese drama but this one related a lot on family love esp. relationship between mother and sisters. Very touching if you know Taiwanese Hokien to appreciate some of the conversations.
A very good drama, mustn’t missed. Different from other type of Taiwanese ‘Idol’ Drama which focused on romance and ido popularity. This one has no famous actor yet everyone is so natural in their acting skills.
3Fated to Love You is a fantastic show. It’s a great mix of comedy, romance and drama. The show doesn’t drag, and the storyline is really great. I highly recommend it.
