The Lovely Bones (Movies – Mini-Review)
Based on the best selling novel, The Lovely Bones is an engaging piece of movie material. It provides heart pounding moments of suspense not only because of the good acting or the superb directing, but because the story is believable as something that could happen in real life.
There are some moments in the movie that you do go “Huh? What the heck is this in here for?” or “Whoa, that was way too trippy…this movie is going off the rails” but then it gets back to being good again shortly after.
Anyway, highly recommended if you’re up for watching something different.

Watched Extract with Mila Kunis, Ben Affleck and Jason Bateman last night…saw from people’s comments that it was a pretty funny movie. The “funny” in the movie was kind of lacking though, the humour used was a bit off you would need to be a little high to laugh at most of the jokes as it just wasn’t that funny.
The main character played by Jason Bateman has so many screwed up problems in the movie that instead of being funny it just gives you a headache. Seeing Mila Kunis was nice though but her part in the movie was pretty superficial and she didn’t do a whole lot.

Comedy, horror, thriller, all these things this movie is not. If you want to just oogle at Megan Fox then this is for you —-sort of. Megan Fox is flaunted a lot in this movie but not enough to make watching the horrid film worthwhile.
When the script includes phrases like “Shutties” and “Wetties” you know it’s going to be a long painful ride and it was. The only way for you to mildly enjoy this film is for you to turn off your brain completely! This movie could have been so much more with a more existent plot line and script, you just don’t give a damn about what happens to any of the characters.

Watched this on the weekend looking for some decent action and some comedy….and I got some dark comedy and some action. Some parts of this movie move a bit too slow, you need to really appreciate what Tarantino is trying to do in building the moment…problem is that the scene’s stamina might outlast you and you could fall asleep.
I still recommend watching this movie despite that though. The acting is superb! Especially by Brad Pitt and Christoph Waltz. I like how they actually used foreign languages and different accents unlike..ahem…Valkryie.
If you only will watch movies if they have beautiful actresses in them then you’ll be alright with this one as Diane Kruger is stunning in this film.

Zombieland (Movie – Mini-review and Pictures)

Zombieland has been getting a lot of positive press and for good reason. After watching it today, we can confidently say that this is one kickass awesome Zombie movie! It provides lots of comedy and decent amounts of suspense and action. Also, tons of gore is included. The acting is excellent by all four main cast members and they also present a great chemistry working with one another as well. Mila Kunis really missed out in playing the role of Wichita, but she won’t be missed as Emma Stone was super enticing and a standout. There is already talks of a sequel and given that it made back it’s 20 odd some million budget in the opening weekend alone, it’s probably a sure bet.
If you love comedy horror zombie movies then watch Zombieland. It’s even better than Shaun of the Dead in our opinion.
