Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 11 will feature the Ryder Cup and support Sony’s new PlayStation 3 Motion Controller. The Ryder Cup is one of the last great sporting events to be founded in prestige rather than prize money. Choose from the U.S. or European squad and participate in the various competition formats – foursomes where players hit alternate shots, fourballs and singles which traditionally bring the biennial event to a close with players going head to head. Gamers will now also be able to take a team online via the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. A first for the Tiger Woods PGA TOUR games, this all-new mode will allow up to 24 players to compete head-to-head as members of team. Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 11 is out in July for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii and iPhone/iPod touch. www.easports.com
At least EA didn’t cut Tiger from doing this one.

Just Cause 2’s Island of Panau is a vast playground for players, stretching out over 1000 square kilometres (400 square miles), packed with dense jungle, arctic peaks, arid deserts and sun-bleached beaches, each populated with a variety of settlements in which to cause chaos. From ski resorts to submarine bases, towns and villages to a huge capital city, Panau is an island rich in variety. Each climate zone has its own unique weather system with dense snow falls creating picture postcard peaks and tropical thunder storms lighting up the night sky. As agent Rico Rodriguez, players must take on the island and its military regime. Using a unique grapple and parachute combination, there is no vertical limit as the air becomes your playground: grapple a passing plane in flight, hijack helicopters or BASE jump from the tallest buildings or mountains. Just Cause 2 offers players the freedom to tackle missions the way they choose. Just Cause 2 is out this month for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PC and mobile phones. www.justcause.com
